If someone has a problem with how you look and makes comments, it is their problem and not yours. It only becomes a concern if it is something you want to change. It is your body, your choice and no one should be forcing you or bullying you to do something you do not feel comfortable doing. The surgeon you see will notice the motivation for the surgery. He will only move forward for the right reasons.
Jason and i were always active. We isolated ourselves outside of our home as much as possible, yet I still grew up overweight and self-conscious of my beauty and body. The various cultures co-exist with no problems and they are also friendly and accommodating to the visitors that come through their picturesque home.
I understand that a model/celebrity’s image is their livelihood, but what message does this send to girls growing up in this day and age? I try to make comments about Photoshop to my daughter as she reads Teen Vogue, and i think in the back of her mind she is aware that the images she’s looking at are not reality. However, in her everyday life, she tries to emulate “perfection,” and when she falls short (which we all do), she can get very upset, either with herself or with the product that she has saved up for weeks to buy (they are not cheap).
